Personal Experience

Neil is hugely experienced in family law. He has expertise in cases involving large or complex assets and those with an international dimension or proceedings in more than one country.

He is a seasoned litigator with a wealth of experience and excellent technical skills. With an eye for detail, yet able to see the overall picture he is also an advocate of resolving cases amicably, rapidly, and with as much dignity as possible, especially where children are involved. His enviable experience combined with his hard and soft skill sets makes him immensely capable of meeting client’s needs.

In addition to Neil’s wealth of knowledge he is known by clients for his high degree of empathy, compassion and fastidious attention to detail which he brings to each of his cases.

He was involved in the reported cases of Sorrell -v- Sorrell [2005] EWHC 1717 (Fam), Bentinck -v- Bentinck [2007] EWCA Civ 175 and NG -v- KR (Pre-Nuptial Contract) [2008] EWHC 1532 (Fam), for example, and has similarly been involved in some of the most complex unreported cases.

Background

Neil studied at Christ Church, Oxford and Guildford College of Law, before completing his legal training at Farrer & Co. He brings decades of family law experience to Grayfords, having previously been a Director at Vardags Law, as well as having previously worked for Fiona Shackleton at Payne Hicks Beach in Lincoln’s Inn
