Angelina Jolie And Brad Pitt Finally Wed

Angelina Jolie and Brad PittAngelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have finally tied the knot

It has been revealed that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie were married in a secret ceremony in France last weekend after being together for nine years.

The couple famously met and started their relationship after filming the movie, ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’, back in 2005 and had been engaged since 2012.

Surprisingly, this not so Hollywood wedding was attended by only 22 guests with the couple wanting a simple and quite ceremony. It is reported that Jolie walked down the aisle with her young sons, Maddox and Pax, with her remaining four children also taking active parts during the wedding.

Even Jolie’s actor father, Jon Voight, was left uninvited perhaps due to his fragile relationship with his daughter after he publicly spoke about Jolie’s mental health back in 2002. However, since 2011, they have been able to patch up their relationship and put their differences aside.

Both Jolie and Pitt have previously been married, in which Pitt’s marriage to actress Jennifer Aniston failed supposedly after he fell in love with Jolie. Likewise, Angelina Jolie’s previous two marriages, to Jonny Lee Miller and Billy Bob Thornton, also failed. However, the couple seem to feel that their new marriage is just a continuation of the past nine years they have spent together, not to mention the fact that they have child responsibilities.

Although the couple do not plan to have an official honeymoon, they were able to spend a few days together with their children in the South of France. They are currently filming for the film ‘By The Sea’, which will be only the second time they have starred together on the big screen since ‘Mr and Mrs Smith’.
